If you had an unlimited amount of nickels dimes and quarters how many different ways could you make 75 cents?

You almost scared me with this one, but I'll give it a go. Easy ones first: (1) 3 quarters (2) 7 dimes; 1 nickel (3) 15 nickels Then it gets tricky: (4) 2 quarters, 5 nickels (5) 2, quarters, 2 dimes, 1 nickel (6) 1 more time to convert 1 dime into 2 nickels (7) 1 quarter, 10 nickels (8) 1 quarter, 5 dimes (9-12) 4 more times to convert each dime, but 1, into 2 nickels (13-18) 6 more times to convert each dime, but 1, into 2 nickels. Did I miss any? 18 different ways (thank goodness you didn't include pennies!)

What is the largest amount 1 billion dimes ten-thousand million nickels 1 million dollars 1 mole of pennies?

1 Mole of pennies. Hands down. In fact, it's painfully obvious. The next highest contestant is Ten-thousand million nickels which is 12044283000000 times smaller than a mole of pennies. 1 billion dimes = 100 million dollars = $100000000 10 billion (ten-thousand million) nickels = 500 million dollars = $500000000 1 million dollars = >.> = $1000000 1 mole (6.0221415e23) of pennies = Not even this much money in the world. But if you are curious, 1 mole of pennies is worth $6022141500000000000000.

How many nickels are equal in value to 20 quarters?

A nickel is 5 cents and a quarter is 25 cents so there are five times as many nickels as quarters in any amount. That means 20 quarters is the same as 20*5 = 100 nickels.

Robert found 24 coins one-third of them were pennies one-fourth of them were nickels and one-sixth of them were dimes and the rest were quarters. Tell how many of each coin Robert found?

You just have to take this one step at a time. Start out with the first part:One-third of them were pennies. So of the 24 coins, a third of them were pennies. Multiply 1/3 by 24 and you get eight.One-fourth of them were nickels. 1/4 times 24 is Six.One-sixth of them were dimes. 1/6 times 24 is Four. And the rest were Quarters. Add up the total number of coins you have already (8+6+4=18) and then subtract that from 24. You answer is 24-18=6So, you have:Eight PenniesSix NickelsFour DimesSix Quarters
