Every triangle has three vertices (vertexes). If it has less than 3 or more than 3, it isn't a triangle.
3 and 3 I believe
It depends on the polygon. A triangle has 3, a square has 4, etc.
4 For a pyramid with a triangle base- 4 vertices (plural of vertex) For a pyramid with a square base- 5 vertices
A cylinder has no vertices (not vertexes!) It has 2 circular edges.

8 vertexes
Not sure about vertexes or prisim. A rectangular prism, on the other hand, has 8 vertices. Not vertexes.
