As square inches are a measure of area, you can measure any area you like in square inches. However, depending upon the size of the area: square feet may be more appropriate for the size of a room square yards may be more appropriate for a small piece of land acres may be more appropriate for a larger piece of land square miles may be more appropriate for a very large piece of land.
A square yard can represent a square with dimensions of 3 feet by 3 feet. Therefore a 7 foot diameter gasket cannot be cut out of a square yard. If you meant 7 inches diameter, then you will be able to cut 25 gaskets from 3 feet by 3 feet but you may even be able to cut 26 gaskets if the square yard was a rectangle of 7 inches wide (by 185 inches long).
The question as stated makes no sense, as square feet is a measure of area and "yard", is a measurement of volume. Normally, "yard" is a measurement of length. However, concrete, soil, gravel, sand, etc., are normally sold (in the U.S.) by the "yard" which is simply short for "cubic yard." However, you may easily calculate the area that a yard of crushed rock will cover, depending on the desired depth of crushed rock. As a cubic yard is 3 feet by 3 feet by 3 feet, which is equivalent to 9 square feet by 36 inches, simply divide 36 inches by the desired depth in inches, and multiply it by 9 square feet. Thus, if you wanted a depth of 8 inches, 36 divided by 8 is 4.5. So, you can cover 4.5 square yards, or 4.5 times 9 square feet = 40.5 square feet, which would be a square area approximately 6 feet 4 inches by 6 feet 4 inches.
it is 6.25 feet (or 6 feet 3 inches).
You may want to use a calculator. 18 in x 18 in =? square inches There are 144 square inches in a square foot. Divide the square inches in one tile by 144. That should equal about 2.25 square feet per tile. 425 divided by the square feet in one tile -- that would give you the number of tiles. It would take about 189 tiles.
4.6667 square feet.

Convert everything to feet (dividing inches by 12), then multiply. Alternately, multiply first, that will give you square inches; then divide by 144 to convert to square feet.Convert everything to feet (dividing inches by 12), then multiply. 1 foot = 12 inches 1 square foot = (12)² = 144 square inches 1008 square feet = 1008 ft² x 144 in²/ft² = 145152 square inches you may use below link to convert it to other units like square meter
1 yard = 3 feet.120 feet = 3 x 120 = 360 feet.
If the 6x12 tiles are in inches, it will take two of them to cover a square foot. You will need 210 of them.
7/12 * 5/12 = 0.243 sq feet. Most doll's houses have bigger rooms!

An inch is a unit of length. A square foot is a unit of area. The two units are therefore incompatible.

It isn't in feet. A foot is a measure of length. As someone else has said, 48" x 48" is equal to4 feet x 4 feet, also known as 16 square feet. Now, sixteen square feet is a measure of area, not a measure of length. No matter how many feet you have, you never have a square foot. Incidentally, the same applies to inches so if you have 48" x 48", you have 2304 square inches, and no inches at all. This may sound finicky, but it is very important. If you do not get it right you will never get any calculations of that kind right at all. And you will never even know why.
