bob wants to know how much carpet he should use his room is 4 feet by 2 feet how many SQUARE feet of carpet does bob need. 4 X 2 = 8 ft2
room is 4 x 5 = 20 square yards in area carpet cost = 12 per sq yd cost = carpet cost x area = 20 x 12 = 240
A yard is 3 feet so your room is 3 by 4 yards which is 12 sq yards. However, most carpet comes in widths of 13 feet so you may have to pay for 9 feet by 13 feet - as your supplier when getting a quote.
As there are 3 feet in a yard, the room measures 4 yards by 6 yards, so, 6 x 4 = the size of the carpet.
32 square feet of carpet. Elementary my dear. Elementary

A room size of 15'4" x 12'0" contains 184.8 square feet. There are 9 square feet in a square yard. You would need 20.53 square yards of carpet. With a carpet cost of $12.00 a square yard, the cost would be $246.36 plus tax.
You will need a minimum of 16 square feet of carpet to cover that area.

If the room is 4 yards by 5 yards you will need 20 square yards. 20 square yards of carpet at $19.95 is $399.00. Remember you may still have to pay for padding and labor if that is not included in the $19.95 per yard. That may be $3.50 per yard of padding and $7.00 per yard labor approximately. If the room is wider than 12 feet you will use a lot more carpet because of the fill piece required to finish the room must run in the same direction. Total costs summary: * Cost for the carpet ($390) * Installation costs (Labour, underpad) ($210) * Old carpet disposal ($50 est.) * Sales Taxes (@ 10% = $50) * Impact of clergy discounts (@ 10% discount on materials = -$50)

You will need 12 x 37 cut of carpet which works out to 49.34 yards.Labor in my area runs $4-5/yard. Add in the cost of carpet and pad per yard, and there you go! You can save money by emptying the room and removing the old carpet, pad, staples and having a clean floor. Leave the tack-strip around the edges though.good luck!
Unless otherwise stated, yes
Carpets are sold per square meter (unless you find an off cut the size required). Your longest length is 7m, so your carpet will be 7sqm @ £20 per sqm = 7 x £20 = £140. Would exclude gripper rod, underlay and fitting though!
