⇒ 60 ft x 100 ft x 4 in = 60 ft x 100 ft x (1 ÷ 12) ft
= 500 cu ft
Close, but you left out the 4 in (1/12) above. You had it on the left, but you left it out on the right. That makes the correct answer 2000 cu ft.

I need to know how thick the layer of gravel is meant to be.
I think you mean 6 inches thick, not 6 feet thick. You would need 200 cubic feet, or 7.4 cubic yards.
0.69444 cubic yard (rounded)
Convert the thickness to meters, then multiply base x area. Answer is in cubic meters. Alternately, you can also convert everything to decimeters first, or to centimeters.
You need to specify how thick you want the top soil to be
enough to cover it
To cover 300 square feet 4 inches thick, you would need approximately 3 cubic yards of gravel.
you need heavy jackets warm boots maybe muklucks and thick gloves and a face cover

you would need a space suit....
For being a farmer there is no need to have your own land
0.69444 cubic yard (rounded)
You will need at least 14 cubic yards.
That would depend on how deep you want the dirt to be... to cover an area that size with dirt just one inch thick...you'll probably need around 20 tons....so multiply by 20 tons however many inches thick you'll need it
