I am currently working as a contractor at a refinery/chemical plant in Texas City, TX and crane operators with no experience but with the NCCCO certification are starting out at $26 per hour and overtime is double time. Our current working schedule is 18 days on with 3 days off, working 12 hours per day. Depending on your taxes that comes out to be around $3,000 per week. One operator out here is making $45 per hour with double time for overtime with over 8 years of experience as a crane operator. I also recently found that some operators starting out on carry decks are making around $18 an hour and in some places as low as $12 an hour. It really depends on your location and industry you are working around. Hope that helps a little. Just remember that you must have NCCCO to become a crane operator in most places in America.
The chances of a person becoming a crane operator when employment in the field is low depends on how well the person knows the trade and how much experience they have. The more experience the more likely they are to get the job.
I am a operator in ca, union hands make depending on the size of the rig make from 35 to 40 an hour. But with all the overtime last year I averaged 27 hours a week. And still made a little over 100 grand. So you do the math. The down fall is that your on call 24/7 so you never know when you will be working. Hope that help
Between 1,000$ to 3,000$ per hour.
A skid steer operator usually makes at least 10 dollars an hour. They may make more depending what company they work for. This is a job that has opportunity for overtime. If you are a construction worker that does this, you will make much more.
