5400/115 = just under 47 hours, assuming you don't need any sleep!
Assuming that there is no synergy, nor time wasted when the two of them start chatting, M paints 0.2 rooms per hour F paints 0.166.. rooms per hour so M + F paint 0.366... rooms per hour So it takes them 1/0.366... = 2.7272... hours
Delbert can paint the fence in 11 hours so in 1 hour Delbert paints 1/11 of a fence. Similarly, in 1 hour Dorothy paints 1/12 of a fence. So together, in 1 hour they paint 1/11 + 1/12 = 12/132 + 11/132 = 23/132 of a fence. So to paint the fence together they would need 1 / (23/132) = 132/23 hours = 5.74 hours
Sally does a quarter of the house in an hour, John does one-sixth, so together they would do 5/12 in an hour, thus it would take 12/5 hours ie 2 hrs 24 min in theory. In practice, because of arguments it would probably take three hours plus!
You don't need a formula. You need to understand where the answer comes from. If you understand where the answer comes from, you can write your own formula. If you don't, then a formula can be dangerous in your hands. -- Sally can paint 1/4 of the house in an hour. -- John can paint 1/6 of the same house in an hour. -- If they work together, then can paint (1/4 + 1/6) = 5/12 of the house in an hour. -- If they paint 5/12 of the house in an hour, then it takes them 12/5 hours to finish the job, or 2.4 hours, or 2hours 24minutes. Well, OK. Here's the formula: S = number of hours it takes Sally J = number of hours it takes John Number of hours it takes them working together = 1 / (1/S + 1/J)

Most carpet cleaners charge by the square footage. Prices can vary.
measure the length and width of room then multiply example: 12 x 12 = 144 square feet one gallon is approx. 300 sq. ft. but that's one coat How much should you be able to paint in one hour The method above will only get you the measurements for floor covering! Not the total square footage of the wall surfaces! What happens if the wall are 8 ft high? how about 12 ft high? This changes the square footage of the room! Measure the height and width of one wall and multiply together. Repeat for each wall. All the totals from each wall together. A room 12'x10' with 8 ft ceilings would be: 2 walls 8' x 12' = 96sq ft each wall x 2 = 192 sq ft 2 walls 8' x 10' = 80 sq ft each wall x 2 = 160 sq ft. Add totals together 192 + 160 = 352 sq ft. (If the ceiling is being painted, add the length and width of the ceiling, multiply together, then add to the total from the walls. The areas of doors and windows could be subtracted from the total since you do not usually paint these areas with the same paint. As you can see, 1 gallon of paint will not cover it!
Labor cost per square foot to wire a house may vary depending on your contractors rates. They will usually have a rate per hour. You can multiple the hourly rate by the square footage needed per hour.
5400/115 = just under 47 hours, assuming you don't need any sleep!
The cost per hour usually has nothing to do with the amount of area painted.
Area of the small wall = 8' x 12' = 96 square feetOne man can paint it in 1/2 hour, meaning one man paints 2 x 96 = 192 square feet per hour.Three men paint 3 x 192 = 576 square feet in an hour.Area of the large wall = 8' x 24' = 192 square feet.If the three men split up the job, and are careful not to step on each otheror paint the same piece more than once, they can cover the large wall in192/576 = 1/3 of an hour = 20minutes.
A person who can count four chairs in an hour can paint forty chairs in ten hours.
Depends on the grade of paint being used and whether it is an Enamel or Latex paint type. Also depends on how thirsty the walls are - or what color you are trying to cover up as it may need more than one coat.
It will depend on what you are painting. 800 square feet of floor space with a roller would take about an hour to an hour and a half, though you can go faster if you really push it. If you have to prep, mask off and cover floors to do ceiling or walls, as well as cut in with a brush, closer to an three hours. Each door or window adds about 15 minutes to the paint time. Each room involved will take another half hour or so. And you'll need another half hour for each paint color. I've put up 18 gallons of paint in three days, which is about 7,200 square feet. That was drywall primer and two coats of paint. Three different colors plus the primer and ceiling white. And there was absolutely no masking to be done, no furniture, baseboards or floors to worry about. Just the cutting in of corners.
