∙ 12y agoHere are the circle formulas.
You should know all of these:
-- Diameter = 2 * radius
-- Radius = 1/2 diameter
-- Circumference = 2 pi * radius
-- Circumference = pi * diameter
-- Area = pi (radius)2
You know the area. You wish to find the diameter.
Area = (pi) R2
Divide each side of this equation by (pi):
Area/pi = R2
Take the square root of each side:
sqrt( area/pi ) = R
Diameter = 2R = 2 sqrt(area/pi ).
And there you are.

∙ 12y agoThe diameter of a pipe is its width across an open end of the pipe. The inside diameter is the width measuring on the inside of the pipe; the outside diameter is the width measuring on the outside.______________________________________________________________________________________________________For a pipe of circular cross section, its nominal diameter is the diameter of the cross section.The inner diameter is the measuring on the inside of the pipeThe outside diameter is the measuring on the outside of the pipe.
The diameter of a log cannot be determined from its length.
0.000095meters = 0.095mm Dia of Hair = 0.095 + 10 = 10.095mm Diameter = 10.095mm
It is half the thickness (diameter) of the circular cross-section of the cylinder.
It is the diameter of the circle.

The hydraulic diameter for any cross section is: Dh= 4 * A / Wp Where Dh = hydraulic diameter A = cross sectional area Wp = wetted perimeter
If you have a physical cylinder to measure, measure the "width" of the circle that is the cross section of the cylinder. That is the diameter, Half the diameter is the radius.
29 diameter implies a cross sectional area of pi*d2/4 = 660.52 sq units Height = 48 so volume = Cross Section * Height = 660.52 * 48 = 31705 cubic units.

Yes if cut in half from its apex to its base diameter.
It is the diameter of the circle.
235 / 65 / R17 is ( 29 inches in diameter and the tire section width is 9.3 inches ) 245 / 70 / R18 is ( 31.5 inches in diameter and the section width is 9.6 inches )
Reinforcing pads mirror the pipe that they are being welded to in size, thickness, and material. To measure the diameter of the pad, measure the pipe at a cross section.
If the wire is soild and circular with a 5 mm diameter, the cross-section area is given by the formula for a circle, which is A = pi/4 x (diameter)2. For 5mm that is pi/4 times 25 or 19.73 square mm.
