On a grid containing 100 squares, 25 percent of the grid would be equivalent to shading in 25 squares.
It depends on the scale you choose for your axes. If the major grid lines are at single integers (1, 2, 3...) then 0.4 would be 4 tenths of the way from the origin to the No.1 grid-line. If though you made every tenth grid-line = 1 then 0.4 would be the 4th grid-line.
"36 percent" means "0.36"."Of" means "times".0.36 times 294 = 105.84
I'll show you how to calculate the percent of 50,00:50 times 15 = 750750 divided by 100 = 7,515 percent of 50,00 = 7,5
Graph it as a fraction
if it is a grid out of 100, which it usually is, change the decimals to a fraction ex: 1.4=140/100.

From the menu, go to: View>Show>Grid
It will show the number as a percentage. If you have 5 in a cell and format it to Percent Style it would show as 500%. If you had 0.73 in a cell and formatted it to Percent Style it would show as 73%.

you need a grid because you need to use that grid to show the answer
to get percent of a number, divide percent by 100 and multiply by the number 13% of 49.99 = 13/100 times 49.99 = 6.50

Before you can show your work on a problem, you have to know how to solve it."10 percent" means "0.1", and "of" means "times".0.1 x 130 = 13
A 3 percent solution is 1.5 times as strong as a 2 percent solution.
