If it looks like a vacuum line it is probably just the breather hose for the t-case. The only other things that hooks up to the t-case is a few wires for the 4-wheel drive indicator lights and the speedometer cable. I think that hose reconnects towards the top somewhere so it may be hard to see where it goes. what if you have a small vacuum line that plugs onto the top of the front hogshead and the other end is loose, it is about 2-1/2 feet long and the opening looks like 1/32 or 1/64.
