A whole number to an improper fraction:First lets define an improper fraction. An improper fraction is a fraction at which the numerator (top) is greater than the denominator (bottom). To change a whole number to an improper fraction you simply add a one to the bottom of your whole number. For example, 5 would be 5/1 in improper fraction form. 6 would be 6/1 an so forth.
multiply the denominator by the whole number then add the numerator and you have an improper fraction
The result (which should be simplified) is another fraction of some kind: * a proper (or vulgar fraction) with the numerator (top number) less than the denominator (bottom number); * an improper fraction with the numerator greater than the denominator which can be converted into a mixed number; or * an integer (whole number).
Anytime you add a fraction to a whole number, you say the whole number, the word "and", and the fraction. 9 + 1/3 = 9 1/3
To convert a mixed number to an improper fraction, multiply the denominator by the whole number, add that total to the numerator and put the whole thing over the original denominator.
Add whole, then to the sum put the fraction next to it
Add a positive number - fraction or integer - to the given fraction.

you turn the decimal into a fraction then you turn the fraction into a whole number and add a percent sign
The quotient is always greater than the whole number. Why? Because it takes more to add up a smaller number than a bigger number. I hope this makes sense.. I'm really stupid XD
This is called a mixed number.A mixed number is a number showing the sum of a whole number and a fraction
multiply the denominator by the whole number then add the numerator and you have an improper fraction
A mixed number has a whole number and a fraction. A fraction is a number that is less than whole and that has a denominator underneath a numerator. To add or subtract mixed numbers, add or subtract the fractions, then add or subtract the whole numbers. If the fraction portion of a mixed number, such as 2 5/6, is more than the fraction portion of the mixed number you're trying to subtract from, such as 3 1/6, you must borrow from the whole number of the mixed number you're trying to subtract from to make its fraction bigger... Multiply the bottom by the whole number...and then add THAT number by the top number, hope this is what you're looking for!
To convert a proper fraction into a mixed number, divide the numerator by the denominator. The whole number part of the mixed number is the result of this division. The remainder becomes the new numerator, and the original denominator remains the same. Write the whole number, followed by the remainder over the original denominator to express the fraction in mixed number form.
