The southerns asked blacks very hard and difficult questions which they were not able to answer. While they asked illiterate whites extremely easy answers. And if you got a question wrong you were not allowed to vote.

no china is not a subcontinent. I had this question in a quiz of mine..and they asked me the same thing.."Is China a subcontinent?" and I said yes, and I got it wrong..So I'm not really sure what it is...Lol :)

If that's an interview question, you got it all wrong. It means that YOU are supposed to answer why YOU have joint (or want to join?) the organization. You are being asked for your own personal reasons; not for somebody else's reasons.
You asked this question because your brain got the idea of the question and decided to ask it.
