The largest pen you can make is a circle with a circumference of 100 meters.
Its diameter is 31.83 meters, and its area = 795.77 square meters.
It's a lot easier to just go with a square ... the largest area you can make with straight sides.
Use the 100 meters of fence to enclose a (25 x 25) square. The area is 625 square meters.
A circle, radius 56/2 pi = 28/pi = 8 feet 11 inches which would have an area of 249¾ squinches
A square 14 ft on a side.
How is it largest ? Do you mean longest ? Do you mean widest ?There's no answer for either longest or widest. If you make it 1 foot wide, thenit's 9 feet long, and if you make it 1 inch long, then it's 9feet 11inches wide. Youcan make it as long as you want, without limit, or as wide as you want, withoutlimit. But not both.Do you mean the rectangle with the largest perimeter ? That's not even a question. The perimeter is the 20 feet of fencing that you have.Do you mean the rectangle that encloses the most area? OK. Now we're talking. For a definite amount of fencing (perimeter), the rectangle with the largest areais a square. Lay out your garden in a square with 5-foot sides. Your 20-feet offencing just exactly encloses it, and you have 25 square feet of area.If you want more area than that, there's one more thing you can do. A squareis the rectangle with the most area, but it's not the shape with the most area. That would be a circle. The absolute most area you can get inside that piece of fence is 31.836 square feet,in a circle with a diameter of 6feet 4.4inches, and a circumference of . . . . . . 20 feet !
A farmer wants to make a square pen to keep some of his animals in a confined area. If one side of the square is 15 feet, how much fencing will he need for the pen?
Not meters - square meters. Hectar is a unit of area, which you can't compare with linear measurements.A hectare has 10,000 square meters. Imagine a square of 100 x 100 meters - although any figure with the same surface area will do as well. Not meters - square meters. Lowes has the best deal around on composite fencing. They do not have the largest selection, but they make up for it in price. Composite fencing has different maintenance levels based on brands. Timbertech and Trex are the brand leaders in the composite fencing industry.
I got no clue.

This does not make sense. Meters squared is a unit of area, not distance.
A farmer wants to make a square pen to keep some of his animals in a confined area. If one side of the square is 15 feet, how much fencing will he need for the pen?
Five feet, because five times four is 20.
Meters is distance, hectares is area. The question doesn't make sense unless itäs about square meters.
Square meters are a unit of area, and meters are a unit of distance. It is not possible to convert between them, as it would have no meaning.
The question should be, "How many square meters make a hectare?"A hectare is a unit of area equal to 10,000 square meters.
The largest area is 56 square units while the smallest area is 14 square units.
