Indeed it does. You have 1.
1/1 = 1
2/2 = 1
3/3 = 1 ect
Because a fraction is defined by both, the numerator and the denominator.
Somone put 30, but seven doesnt go into it
It actually doesnt because you flip the second fraction

no i doesnt have to be the same
what do you mean?....i will answer from what i understand....so from your question i understand that you wanted to changed the fraction ( one third or 1/3) to a whole number...you just divide the numerator(1) by the denominator(3)...so 1 divided by 3...is .3333333333 until infinty (it doesnt end)...thank you

the best way i can answer that question is this: whats 2+1? it's 3. really, 2=2/1, and 1= 1/1. the denominatior doesn't change there either, because they're the same. the only time a denominator changes in fractions is when the denominators are different. (i.e. 2/3 + 3/5= 19/15. [in this case, you have to multiply the 2 on the top of 2/3 with the 5 on the bottom of 3/5. then you have to multiply the 3 on the bottom of 2/3 with the 3 on the top of the 3/5. the product of the 2 numbers are ther numerator; on top. the multiply the 3 and the 5 on the bottom of the fractions: the product of those numbers are the denominator: what go on the bottom of the fraction. 2x5=10, and 3x3=9. 10+9=19 (goes on top). then, 3x5-15 (goes on bottom.) the answer would be 19/15. i hope that answers your question.
