if you want a high grade then you can but if you did good at school you dont have to its up to you i got a g in maths i did bad but i went to college and they said i can retake it so i crap my old grade for a better grade no probs :)

The bare minimum passing grade used to be a D, but those days are over. According to Wikipedia, the least passing grade is a C. A C+ is also a passing grade because you are high average, but a B is above average. So just to let you know, NEVER get D's or F's. If you got a passing grade it is not recommended because it will look bad for college application. However you should ask your teacher for extra help so that you feel ready to move on further in the curriculum. If you did not receive a passing grade than it is mandatory that you retake the class, or else you will receive no class credit plus you will not be able to move on to higher math classes.
