No. In fact, they have to be of different lengths otherwise the trapezium becomes a parallelogram.
They both have four sides, and at least one pair of parallel lines.
A trapezoid.
A trapezoid
A general trapezoid is a 4 sided quadrilateral with a pair opposite parallel lines of different lengths and no lines of symmetry But an isosceles trapezoid has the same properties as above except that it has 1 line of symmetry
A trapezoid is a quadrilateral in which only one pair of opposite sides are parallel to each other. Also, no sides are the same length, and no angles are the same size.
A trapezoid has at least one set of parallel lines, but they need not be the same length. Here is a picture of one with parallel sides, but clearly not the same length Dr. Chuck (picture is from http://illuminations.nctm.org/LessonDetail.aspx?ID=L580)

In geometry, lines are of infinite length. So, yes, parallel lines have the same length. They are completely 'G' rated at all times. They never touch.
A trapezoid has one pair of parallel sides, a rhombus has two.A trapezoid can have at most three sides of equal length, though it need not have any. All four sides of a rhombus must be the same length.
A trapezoid?
NO!!!! Parallelogram : Two pairs of parallel lines ; The each pair of parallel lines is the same length. Trapezium ; One pair of parallel lines, that are not the same length. The other two sides can be the same length , but not parallel. Both figures/shapes are quadrilaterals.
The area of an upside down trapezoid is the same as the area of a right side up or sideways trapezoid. Area = 1/2 * height * (upperbase + lowerbase) OR Area = 1/2 * height * (sum of the length of the two parallel lines)

Trapezoids and rhombuses are quadrilateral shapes. A trapezoid has 2 sides that are parallel and a rhombus has 4 sides that equal the same length.
