Compared to a 3-legged stool it would. Consider the 3 or 4 points where the bottom of the legs make contact with the floor (which need not be even). Any three points are always in one plane so all points of contact for a 3-legged stool will always lie in the plane, thereby preventing rocking. Four points need not be coplanar and if they are not, the stool will rock.
A plane is defined by three points, so a three legged stool is stable because the points on the end of the stool's legs are coplanar
Plane. (That's why a 3-legged stool never wobbles.)
it isnt It is not stronger. True, a 3-leg will not wobble because 3 points define a plane. However, a 3-legged table will tip over more easily than a 4-legged table. I suspect some science guru has done the physics on this and can prove what I say.

Three points are the minimum required to define a geometric Plane. Any 3-legged stool, then, can only exist on a single Plane, and cannot alternate between any two Planes (i.e., rock). By combining any 3 of the 4 or more legs on the stool could define a separate plane on which the stool could stand. There are 4 separate configurations of 3 legs upon which a 4-legged table could stand: ABC AB D A CD BCD

no it was a stool and stools cant speak let alone sing.
They really didn't have furniture. There may have been a table, a 3 legged stool, and planks of wood for a bed.

They use the paddle and the one legged stool.
When you have a four legged stool it can be unbalanced if one of legs is a different length than the others. if you have a three legged stool than even if one of the legs is uneven it will still balance evenly.
