a rhombus is a kite.

A rhombus is not a kite.

A rhombus is not a square because all four angles of a square are equal and those of a rhombus are not.

Normally, a rhombus is defined as a quadrilateral all of whose sides are equal and whose opposite angles are the same. I am not sure that this excludes the case where these angles are two pairs of 90 degree angles and therefore, form a square. So, at a stretch, one could say that a square is a special kind of rhombus.
