Note: some persons with a certain disease (I don't remember it's name), may have problems with addition or other calculation processes, since they think not of the value of each number, but of it's form and (like in this question) adds them instead, like when building something out of LEGO. Thus, this percentage of the people think it's very logical that 1 + 1 makes 11, as they think of the form and not the value (one plus one).
Calculation 44 + 22 would make 4422 instead of the correct answer 66, like la + mp would make lamp).
They may understand better if you write the numbers out. Instead of 1, write one etc. The answer to this question still remains no, as my predecessor has stated.
