To me, no, it wasn't hard, maybe a little, but it was fine. I could do it easily because I had teachers to help me prep and I also did online practice, so that helped quite a bit.
Pay attention in math classes and ASK! It pays off. By doing that, I had ease to do my EQAO math package better, because truthfully, I'm not good at math. But just pay attention, do your best and it'll be a breeze.

Whether grade 6 students should write the EQAO (Education Quality and Accountability Office) assessments depends on various factors, including educational goals and individual student needs. Proponents argue that EQAO provides valuable data on student performance and helps identify areas for improvement in the education system. However, critics may contend that standardized testing can be stressful for students and may not fully capture their abilities. Ultimately, the decision should consider the benefits of assessment balanced against the potential drawbacks.

The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) assessments are conducted in Ontario, Canada, for students in specific grades. Students take the EQAO assessments in Grade 3 for reading, writing, and mathematics, and again in Grade 6 for the same subjects. Additionally, there is an assessment for students in Grade 9 for mathematics and a literacy test in Grade 10. These assessments are designed to evaluate student learning and the effectiveness of the education system.
Gr. 6 is an easy year, except for some who must do a national test called EQAO. This test determines the rank of each student and the whole school.
If you are in Grade 3, 6 or 9, you are obviously doing EQAO. If you want to prepare for it, ask your teacher for practice sheets. You will most likely go through some practice near Feb or near Mar and after you will go over it. Don't stress EQAO, it's actually easy. People call it E=Evil Q=Questions A=Attacking O=Ontario. Good Luck, A grade sixer.
