I'll state the way I like it, and then the way thats effective for groups, by the fact that people get the information when it's tought that way...
I like it when I see examples and then get questions to do while looking at the examples, the answers right after. It gives me a chance to know which way is right in the shortest amount of time. if the teacher give more difficult problems, thats better because that means I'll get the answers of how to do them quicker. I gives me the chance to know everything before I have to take the test.
The way the good teachers tend to teach is do a lecture, then do the work on the board, and give homework to check what they know. When they collect it, they look through to find what they need to re-teach and then do so. Since everyone learns differently, that allows the majority to learn it if you add in projects along the way, for the hands-on students.
I'm only a student, so I know what people get from the way they teach, and I just had a conversation with a teacher about this a few weeks ago...

he is famous for teaching math
The best is to have a college degree and be a math major. Many math teachers do not have degrees in math, however, my personal opinion is that formal math education is a big plus (pun intended) for math teachers. Some math teachers have computer science backgrounds. In many cases, teachers who want to teach math without a math degree need to pass a test to do so. So if you want to be a math teacher, go to college and major in math! Then you also have to get a teaching credential. Some schools have combined math bs and teaching programs.
As X approaches infinity it approaches close as you like to 0. so, sin(-1/2)
Not all students hate math but students that do it's because of a lack of interest in the subject caused possibly by poor teaching techniques that makes math boring and uninteresting.
