The grad is a unit of plane angle, equivalent to 1⁄400 of a fullcircle. It is also known as gon, grade, or gradian (not to be confused with thegrade of an inclined surface, i.e.gradient, slope, or pitch, the gradient in vector calculus, or the radian unit).
