This list is based on the assumption that you are living with the other person if not single or living alone if single.

Positives:

You're schedule is yours to control.

You don't have to share finances with another person.

You're free to flirt with who you like without having to worry about a jealous boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse.

More free time.

Overall, you only have to worry about yourself.

Not having to share a bed.

Negatives:

Sometimes you might feel lonely.

You could feel out of place or like a 'third wheel' if you hang out with friends that are couples.

You don't have someone who's there for you (friends can only do so much).

No one to help you if you feel sick, or tired, etc.

Coming home to an empty house (not usually a positive).
