Barophobia is the fear of gravity, and while specific prevalence statistics are not widely documented, it is classified as a specific phobia. Like other phobias, it can affect individuals differently, with some experiencing severe anxiety and avoidance behaviors. General statistics suggest that specific phobias affect about 7-12% of the population at some point in their lives. However, due to its niche nature, barophobia may be less commonly reported or recognized.

Hi, thank you for sharing. I am in fact also scared of bean bags. This is a real phobia. My throat tingles when a bean bag is present, or even if someone talks about a bean bag. (it is really hard to type the word even). I also get a nauseas feeling as well. A lot of people don't believe this is a thing but it truly is. I have had this phobia since I was a kid. I also can't touch any stuffed animals with the bead feeling. You are not alone. Hopefully one day this goes away.
