Cons:

1: The cost to make the machines to harbor this tidal power is very great. It would take a while until the money is takes to makes these machines could be paid back in a form of profit.

2: Only cities or countries surrounded by strong tidal power would receive the benefit. This means that some countries would thrive in power and could sell this power to those who do not have this type of tidal power.

3: The turbines that will be turned to gain the tidal power will disturb the fish and marine life. This will not sit well with environmentalists.
