What does it means when the HOLD light comes on a 2002 Kia Sportage?

Oh, dude, when that HOLD light pops up on your 2002 Kia Sportage, it's basically telling you, "Hey, I'm gonna hold on to this gear a little longer, just 'cause I feel like it." It's like your car's way of saying, "I'm gonna take the scenic route through this gear change, hope you don't mind." So, don't stress, it's just your car being a little extra in its shifting style.

What is the power button for on a 1991 Isuzu trooper for?

it just resets the shift points on the trans. it allows you to hold a gear a little longer.

What does the HOLD button on the side of the shifter do?

It allows the transmission to be HELD in one gear, longer than normal. Once you release the HOLD button the trans will shift normally. A HOLD button, keeps the transmission either in a gear or in a range of gears, according to a moderately complicated algorithm which "lets you shift for yourself."

Why does the Hold warning sometimes blink in the dash board when you slow down or when you encounter heavy traffic in your automatic transmission 1997 Mazda 323?

i read in another answer that there is a transmission hold to keep it in gear longer.. you may have that pressed and the car wants to gear down but can't. i have no idea but its a suggestion.. mike

What is the hold light on a 1998 Kia Sportage?

You have two lights on dashboard which are linked to your auto transmission, 1. POWER which will hold the gears for a longer period during going up in gears for higher accelaration, and 2. HOLD when climbing hills or overtaking the hold button will drop down a gear and maintain that gear until button is released, just helps to maintain gear and accelaration instead of the gear dropping halfway through overtaking or climbing. Both of these buttons are on your shifter, Hold, on side of shifter at top and Power will be a button left hand side of base plate. Hope this helps, Iain.

What does a HOLD light mean on the Mazda instrument panel?

The HOLD light indicates the driver has selected NOT to allow the car to shift into a higher gear (i.e., 5th gear -also called Overdrive). It is mostly used when driving uphill when the driver wants to prevent the car from shifting into a gear that is too high and possibly could cause the engine to lug (over-strain).

What is the hold button on a 1999 Kia Sportage on the gear shifter?

Would a 350 turbo or 700r4 be strong enough for a mildly built 400 small block?

yes a turbo 350 would work just perfect with that 400 and a 700r4 will also but if being used mainly for racing it probably want hold together long .rieco.87
