Best Answer

1/10 = 0.1

Then

1/100 = 0.01

1/1000 = 0.001

et seq.,

NB It only reaches '0' at infinity.

The clue is

100 = 10^(2)

10 = 10^(1)

1 = 10^(0)

1/10 = 10^(-1)

1/100 = 10^(-2)

Notice that the powers of ten are ;- ... 2,1,0,-1,-2, ...

How do you find a result of two consecutive percentage changes applied by a given number?

Finding for say 10% and added 10% of 1000? First find the 10% of 1000 = 100 Then find 10% of 100 =10 SO the result for this consecutive percentage would be 110 and it comes out to be 11 %. SO the formula comes out to be x% + (x%-1) = answer * * * * * I am not at all sure what question the above is answering! If you apply percentage changes of x% and y%, to a value, A you get A*(1+x/100)*(1+y/100)] = A*[1 + x/100 + y/100 + xy/10000] So the combined effect is that of a single percentage change of (x + y + xy/100) %
