The real name for a coordinate grid would be a Cartisian Plain. It sounds somewhat like that.
Well you have to answer all the questions you can and then you have to look at all the answers you have and use them to work out the rest you have to look at the answers you have and work out what the other number is to work out all the numbers on the outside of the grid! This is talking about a search grid. When you search for evidence you have to look at an area in detail and to keep track of where you have been and where you need to still examine; you need the grid to know where those parameters are. Also it keeps you from repeatedly searching one area while skipping another and missing something vital.
