8-9km depending on your stride....
It depends entirely on how long the persons stride is !
Depends on your stride length, but if we assume you are a Roman soldier on the march (well, why not?), then 1000 paces equals 1 mile. However, a Roman pace was not just a 'left' or 'right', but a 'sinister, dexter' (left, right), so 2000 of what we would call a step is one mile. Thus your 4600 steps equate roughly to 2.3 miles.
An adult of height 6' has a stride length of approximately 1 yard. 11/2 miles = 2640 yards. But most adults would not have this length of stride, therefore to cover 11/2 miles would take about 3000-3300 steps.
The number of miles that would be covered in two thousand steps would depend on the distance of the stride of the individual. Supposing one took steps of about one foot in distance, they would travel approximately .4 miles. If they were to take steps 1.5 feet long, then they would cover about .6 miles. If their stride was two feet long, they would walk .8 miles in two thousand steps. If one wanted to walk a whole mile in two thousand steps, they would need to take steps that are approximately 2.64 feet long.

The answer depends on the length of your stride.
Depending on the length of your stride, approximately 6000 steps.

To walk with long steps is to stride.
An adult of height 6' has a stride length of approximately 1 yard. 11/2 miles = 2640 yards. But most adults would not have this length of stride, therefore to cover 11/2 miles would take about 3000-3300 steps.

That would depend on your gait or the length of your stride. Say for instance, your stride measures the standard military 32 inch marching step, 5,463 steps would equal, 174,816 inches, or 14,568 feet, or 4,856 yards, or a touch over 2¾ miles. To determine more accurately, simply take several standard steps from one marked point to another, measure the distance in inches and divide that by the number of steps you took. This will give you your stride length. Then, take the number of steps about which you ask (5,463) and multiply that number by 5,463 to give you the distance you have travelled.
Average stride length: 2.2 feet for women and 2.5 feet for man or you can estimate stride length relative to your height (females: height x .413 equals your stride length; males: height x .415 equals your stride length).
Every person has a different stride length, so there isn't a direct or typical conversion factor for this. I would guess most people would walk about three miles with 5200 steps, though.
solely depends on the presence of legs.
