To calc ANY percentage, take the 'above the line' part of the fraction (so in this case = 5), multiply by 100, and divide the result by the other number. So, here that gives 500/6, which without using a calculator looks like 83.3333 recurring%.

Or an easy example, 2 eighths, (ie a quarter) = 200/8, = 25%
