No, the math term ratio doesn't mean multiply.
It is the point in a mathematical space from which all distances are measured. In two dimensions its coordinates are (0,0). In 3-D they are (0,0,0) and so on.
The term does not do anything! In simple term, it means a solid. It may be defined in terms of its length, width and height (the 3 dimensions).
