The result of a division problem is a quotient. For instance, "The quotient of 10 divided by 2 is 5. I am not sure what the quotient of one number would be; you need two to tango or to have a quotient. Extra info/similar mathematic words: sum is the result of addition, difference is the result of subtraction, and product is the result of multiplication. All require at least two numbers.

This is because addition, multiplication etc are BINARY operations. Two inputs are combined to produce one output.
