There are an infinite number of fractions which equate to 12/30. This means the list goes on for ever.

One example would be 6/15 (where both numbers have been halved to maintain the ratio).

Another is 4/10 (each number has been divided by 3)

However, for example, if we doubled the 12 and 30 (numerator and denominator of the fraction) we would get 24/60. We could continue doubling the numbers indefinitely and the result would always equal 0.4.
