As an improper fraction it is 13/2, as a mixed number it is 6 1/2
Such as when the fraction is 6/2 it is that's 3 wholes
It is because an improper fraction has a greater numerator than the denominator of a proper fraction e.g. 3/1, 7/4, 2/1 etc...
