15/127th's of an inch. The decimal form of the fraction is an irrational number. This answer was found by reducing the conversion to 0.1in = 2.54mm, then dividing 3 by 2.54, our result number of millimeters, to find the multiplier to get our answer, and then multiplying that by the 0.1in, to get our resulting inches. Seeing as this is an irrational answer, we leave the 3/2.54 as a fraction, move it up out of decimals to 300/254, then multiply by 0.1 to get 30/254, reducing that gets 15/127.
