Presently students suffer like anything because of the metric system has not been applied both in calculating time and the angle in degrees.

In metric system, with much convenience, multiples of ten have been introduced and so just shifting the decimal would do the manipulation so easily.

But the odd tables in case of counting time would be an usual hindrance for the students.

Each hour would have 60 minutes. So 1.5 has 1.5*60 = 90.0 minutes.

Otherwise 1.5 hour is considered as 1 h and 30 min.
