If (x divided by 7) - 2 = 6, then x = 56 If x divided by (7 - 2) = 6, then x = 30
3 and 6/7 divided by 1 and 2/7 = 3
1/7 ÷ 6 = 1/7 ÷ 6/1 = 1/7 × 1/6 = 1/42 (≈ 0.0238)
6/7 divided by 2/9 is same as 6/7 multiplied by 9/2 = 54/14 = 27/7

If (x divided by 7) - 2 = 6, then x = 56 If x divided by (7 - 2) = 6, then x = 30
3 and 6/7 divided by 1 and 2/7 = 3
It is 15 divided by 2 and 6/7 = 5.25
(2)/(7/6) = (2x6)/7 = 12/7 = 1 and 5/7
1/7 ÷ 6 = 1/7 ÷ 6/1 = 1/7 × 1/6 = 1/42 (≈ 0.0238)
6/7 divided by 2/9 and then reduced to a fraction is: 3 43/50.
6/7 ÷ 2/9 = 27/7 or 36/7
6/7 divided by 2/9 is same as 6/7 multiplied by 9/2 = 54/14 = 27/7

It is easier to see this with 3 and 6. The idea with 7 and 6 is exactly the same, but no quite as easy to see. 6 divided by 3 is asking how many 3 there are in 6? There are 2 of them so 6 divided by 3 equals 2. 3 divided by 6 asks how many 6's there are in 3? We know there is only half of a six, that is to say, 3 in one 3. So 3 divided by 6 is 1/2. 6 divided by 7 asks how many 7's in 6? There is not even a whole 7 in 6, since we are 1 short of 7. We can write it as a fraction 6/7 which is less than 1. One is 7/7 by the way. But 7 divided by 6 is one 6 with something left over. The something is 1/6 so it is 1 and 1/6 1 and 1/6 is the same as 7/6.
It is 2/7
