5/8
How I arrived at my answer:
When adding or subtracting fractions, you have to make sure that the denominators are the same. In this case, by multiplying 1/4 by 2, we will have matching denominators.
(1/4)*2 = (1*2) / (4*2) = 2/8
Now that the denominators are the same, we can add the two fractions together:
3/8 + 2/8 = 5/8
3 fourths
1/8 + 3/4 = 1/8 + 6/8 = 7/8.
one and one eighth
The sum of 3/4 and 1/8 is 7/8.
1/8 + 3/4= 7/8
2 3/4 + 1 1/8 = 3 7/8
3 and 1 fourths
1/8 + 3/4 is the same as 1/8 + 6/8 which is the same as 7/8.
7 1/4 :)
3 and 3 fourths is 15 over 4. 1 and 1 eighth is 9 0ver 8. Now multiply 15 by 9 and divide the answer by 8 times 4 You cannot expect me to do all the work :)
3/32.
