78 x 8 = 624

In a simpler form:

8 x 8 = 64

7 x 8 = 56

If you know those two simple equations then add, them like this:

>>>>>> With this one (below) the computer will not let me put the top 6 over the bottom 6,but that's what it's suppose to be. The next example it does though. So look at that one.

64

+ 56

_______ Carry the one from the 12, and put it over the 5, add 5+1,which equals

624 And that gives you 624.

You can do that for any problem, just the bigger the digits, the more advanced it gets. I hope you can tell, but you put the last digit of one number and first digit of the other right under each other, then add. And this problem can be reversed to look like this:

56

+ 64

_______

But the first equation, 8 x 8, MUST have it's FIRST digit over the last digit of 56, same with any other problem. This is because you'd multiply 8 x 8 first if you were doing the equation the regular way.

Hope that helps!
