In a simpler form:
8 x 8 = 64
7 x 8 = 56
If you know those two simple equations then add, them like this:

You can do that for any problem, just the bigger the digits, the more advanced it gets. I hope you can tell, but you put the last digit of one number and first digit of the other right under each other, then add. And this problem can be reversed to look like this:
56
+ 64

But the first equation, 8 x 8, MUST have it's FIRST digit over the last digit of 56, same with any other problem. This is because you'd multiply 8 x 8 first if you were doing the equation the regular way.
