The two formulas that are used to get either C or F are:

1) To get Fahrenheit (F) : F = (C*9/5) + 32

2) To get Celsius(C): C = (F-32)*5/9

(NOTE: exactly the same formula but just rearranged)

So using Formula 1:

F = C*9/5 + 32

= 85*9/5 + 32

= 153 + 32

= 185

So 85 degrees C is 185 degrees F
