IPC 620 Training

The IPC/WHMA-A-620 is a quality standard that describes the Requirements and Acceptance for Cable/Wire Harness Assemblies.It is an industry developed program for individuals and companies engaged in the manufacture, use and installation of cable and wire harness assemblies.

Importance of IPC 620 Training

The A-620 is a world-class training and certification program recognized by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and other quality-certifying bodies around the world. It promotes standardized operations and helps cable and wire harness manufacturers to excel in terms of quality and productivity.

Three classes in IPC A-620

Class 1 - General Electronic Products. General includes products that are suitable for applications where the primary requirement is the function of the completed assembly. Everyday consumer appliances are examples

Class 2 - Dedicated Service Electronic Products. IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 2 products require continued performance and extended life. Uninterrupted service is desired, but not critical. Class 2 products include communications equipment and other dedicated-service electronic products.

Class 3 - High Performance Electronic Products. Includes products where continued performance or performance-on-demand is critical, equipment downtime cannot be tolerated, end-use environment may be uncommonly harsh, and the equipment must function when required, such as life support systems and other critical systems.
