A polymath is a person who is educated in many subjects. Italy has had many famous polymaths in it history. Persons on this list include, but certainly are not limited to, Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni, Salvator Rosa, Giacomo Casanova, and Catherine de' Medici.
