A pentagonal prism is a polyhedron: a three-dimensional object bounded by plane faces. It consists of a pentagonal face with another which is a translation in the direction perpendicular to it. These two faces are joined together by 5 rectangular faces.

This definition is rather complex: that is to exclude shapes derived from pentagonal prisms by "squashing" or "twisting".
