Some say I just described a Specialist job rather than coordinator's job. I might add, Safety Specialist is the next step up the ladder. But I'm still considered only a coordinator.Currently I have designed and built five tools that are now being used in daily production in my company. The one draw back to doing this, you are not legally eligible for the patent on tools you design and build (if) you did it on company time for the company in their building. However, you can certainly inscribe your name on it, date it and put it into a program and sign your name to it...but you are not the owner. I work 12 hr days and from time to time I work from home about an hour or two--without pay and that's cool.(I don't mind that hour or two) ...because I love my work. But there is allot to being a coordinator. Hope this has been helpful. You may also Google: (Safety coordinator job description)
