It is kind of hard to show a tree diagram here, but ill try.

lets take the number 28... to get prime factorization you need to break down the number until you cant divide any of its numbers any more.

first divide by 2 (which is a Prime number)

28/2 = 14

you now have 2 and 14. 2 cannot be divided any more but 14 can...

14/2 = 7

you now have 2 another 2 and a 7. since all ofthese numbers are prime numbers these are your prime factors.

2 * 2 * 7 = 28

to put it in a tree you could write 28 as the top number. then draw two lines from 28 pointing down. those two numbers should be 4 and 7. then draw two more lines pointing down from the 4 and write 2 and 2.

many other numbers can be represented...

2 * 11 = 22

2 * 2 * 3 * 5 = 60
