After a quadrillion, the next number is a quintillion. In the short scale system, which is commonly used in the United States and most English-speaking countries, a quintillion is equal to 1 followed by 18 zeros (1,000,000,000,000,000,000). This naming convention continues with sextillion (21 zeros), septillion (24 zeros), and so on.
