It's an indicator of a person's intelligence. IQ stands for intelligence quotient. You get to do a test to get your IQ score. An average IQ is around 90-100. The more your IQ number is high, the more you are supposedly intelligent. However, some people say that IQ tests and scores are unreliable.

IQ scores are normalized by age, thus theoretically if you got an IQ score of xyz you should always get an IQ score of xyz throughout your life whenever tested. In actual practice deviations in score of about ±5 points are not considered statistically significant. However remember that the only thing an IQ score has ever been shown to consistently predict both reliably and accurately is the ability to score high on IQ tests.
