Well to start off, get to simplest form:

  • find the greatest common factor (GCF) between numerator and denominator.
  • GCF of 12 and 18 is 6.
  • Divide both numerator and denominator by 6 --> 2/3
  1. Now you can multiply 2 & 3 by integers to find other equivalent fractions:
  2. 4/6
  3. 6/9
  4. 8/12
  5. 10/15
  6. 12/18, etc.
