Delta
A river mouth is a portion of a stream where it merges with another stream. Note that here the definition of stream is not "a small river", but "any flowing current within well defined banks."
The mouth part of a river is called a delta. It is the large silty area at the mouth of a river at which the river spills into different slow flowing channels.

mouth
The mouth of a river is where the river flows into another body of water, such as an ocean, sea, lake, or another river. It is typically wider than the rest of the river and marks the end of the river's journey. At the mouth, the velocity of the river's flow decreases, leading to sediment deposition.
Generally, the mouth of a river is found where it empties into another river, a lake, reservoir or ocean. A large river's mouth can cover a massive area.

The name given to soil deposited at the mouth of a river is called silt. The mouth of a river is called a delta.
