Landfall point in 'Oil and Gas' lingo means the point at which the offshore oil/gas touches the onshore terminal. It is basically entry to the onshore. Suppose the oil/gas is being explored 100 kms offshore, the landfall point will be the collecting point on shore, from where it is then transported to the consumers. From pricing perspective the landfall point price will be inclusive of only the exploration cost and transportation cost to the shore, and hence will not consist of excise or custom duty (as applicable).
